The Dallas UX Book club is currently engaged in picking our slate of books to create the Fall 2009 - Spring 2010 discussion calendar. Some of the possibilities are:

For this meeting, we will have 2 parts!

Part 1: A group interactive study of a local grocery store, preferably either Marketplace in Colleyville, Central Market in Southlake, or the new Sprouts in Southlake. We will tour the store and take some photos that we will end up posting to our little local site. (This can be done through automated Flickr tags easily).

Christopher St. John from Praxis Bridge: Teaching practical ways to master system complexity, will be talking at the next IxDA meeting @cohabitat. He will discuss opportunities to embrace new technologies and make them easier and beneficial for the rest of us.

Today our Interaction Design Association chapter got it's own site to keep track of local conversations and events. So far, we have a local conference day on Saturday, May 30th, and hopefully, we will get a March or April meet up scheduled soon!

This year, IxDA is also planning to have regional conferences as well. There will be more details on that as it becomes available. The better site for that information is the main site ixda.org.
